Latest developments include a range of high performance solid carbide and Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) tools for composite materials. Developed at Dormer's Research Technology Centre (RTC) - based at the flagship site on the Advanced Manufacturing Park near Sheffield - where pioneering research of composites, their structure and machining characteristics has facilitated the creation of a tooling programme capable of meeting the most demanding quality and performance standards.

Using in-house machining capabilities - including a 5-axis machining centre - and a range of high-performance tooling, Dormer support Bromley with the machining of several parts for its racing skeleton sleds. In addition, Dormer's facilities and cutting-edge tooling knowledge will be utilised for future joint projects, including ongoing machining trials and component development.
